A rather funny remark was made by one of the four people responsible for presenting the potential new Dutch Prime Minister. He quipped that “they deliver only 'good' people,” referring to Lyceum the Grundel, a high school located in Hengelo, Overijssel, which Dick Schoof, the potential Prime Minister-to-be, attended. Interestingly, Pieter Omtzigt (50 years old), a prominent member of the NSC (a relatively new Dutch political party), also attended this high school.
Dick Schoof (67 years old), the former director of the AIVD (Dutch Safety Institute), used to live in Haarlem, close to Amsterdam and then moved with his family to Twente in the eastern part of the Netherlands.
This story is even more fascinating because several other famous Dutch people also attended Lyceum the Grundel in Hengelo. Among them are Joost Posthuma (43 years old), a former professional cyclist, and Wout Weghorst (31 years old), a professional soccer player.
Reflecting on our potential Prime Minister-to-be background, I see parallels with the values we uphold at Privego. Just as Lyceum the Grundel has a track record of “delivering good people,” we at Privego strive to make the “best possible match” between a ‘good’ personal assistant (PA) and a client. I hope that “our Grundel Lyceum alumnus” Dick Schoof will find his potential new role as Prime Minister to be an interesting and fun challenge, much like I experience in my role as the founder and director of Privego. His mission to be an important player and builder of bridges between different people and parties is one we share.
I am proud to say that I also attended Lyceum the Grundel in Hengelo. Now, as a 26-year-old, I feel the motivation to become one of these good people they deliver. Let’s Privego!
